On the afternoon
of this Fall Equinox...
I had the privilege
of assisting a couple in Sebastopol, California
in laying out
and beginning to fill in the lines
of their new labyrinth with stone
in their backyard.
The blank canvas
of their backyard...
is transforming into an oasis
and a place of play for their young grandson.
It was a lovely way
to spend the afternoon on this day of balance
as we begin to move
into the shortening of days
and the changing of seasons.
This is a concentric, seven-circuit Classical Labyrinth
is made out of Noyo Cobblestone on pea-gravel.
Twenty-six feet in diameter.
